Terna’s 2011-2015 Strategic Plan approved by the Board of Directors was presented in Milan on February 14, 2011 to the market and the media by Terna’s CEO Flavio Cattaneo.
Terna announced 6 billion euros of investments in 5 years, 80% of which for modernizing the grid with an increase of 700 million euros equal to +15% compared to what was announced in the previous plan (4.3 billion euros) and up to one billion euros for non-traditional activities.
It is expected that implementing all planned measures could involve 200 companies for a total work force equal to 10,000 people. The Plan also particularly includes restructuring the electricity grid in the country’s major metropolitan areas.
Regarding results obtained in 2010, the highest since the IPO in June 2004, all the indicators registered a double-digit growth despite the unfavorable economic situation.
