Terna’s activities in the environment, like those relative to work safety, find coordination and guidance in the Integrated Management System for Quality, the Environment and Occupational Safety. 

This System received the UNI EN ISO 9001, UNI EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification (renewal for the 2011-2013 period was obtained on October 19, 2010) thus testifying Terna’s commitment for ongoing improvement and guaranteeing coherence with the commitments expressed in its Code of Ethics and in company policies.

The system of Integrated Management for Quality, the  Environment and Occupational Safety covers all Terna’s activities, both those implemented on existing plants, and those for planning, designing and building  new plants.
