In 2016 we presented “Our sites: open & transparent”, Terna’s digital tool dedicated to the fight against corruption across our project sites in Italy. The first to do so among Italian companies, this web site – constantly updated - provides information on contracts, contractors, subcontractors, and construction of ongoing electrical infrastructure within Italy.
Data spanning all areas of our work. In fact, data concerning ongoing work in terms of location and technical features is available, as well as information on the way in which each project is organized, from the companies working on specific sites, to the development stage and the economics behind each and every project. This also allows companies that have participated in the tender process to see how work on the site is progressing.
By using this tool, anyone in the public is able to verify the progress of large infrastructural works, the number of companies that took part in the tender and the names of the contractors to whom the work has been assigned. The creation and implementation of this tool - certified by Certification 37001 on anti-corruption – is possible thanks to the contribution of Terna’s workers and technicians on the ground.
