This chart shows a breakdown of requests by type of source (solar, wind, on-shore and off-shore) in terms of number and power. Using the interactive map, it is possible to view details at a regional, provincial or municipal level*. There is also clear indication of distribution as a percentage and by power for requests, grouped by status of the application in the phase managed by Terna.

* Connection requests for off-shore wind installations are located in correspondence with the province of the relevant municipality.

This chart shows the key figures for development of wind and solar initiatives by market zone*, with comparison of connection requests and the 2030 target set by the Fit for 55 package, which dictates a reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions of at least 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.

* The system of electricity market zones in Italy is divided up as follows: North (Val D'Aosta, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Trentino, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna), Centre-North (Tuscany, Marche), Centre-South (Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, Umbria), Sardinia, Sicily, Calabria, South (Molise, Puglia, Basilicata).
