Each year, hundreds of male and female colleagues get involved in the awareness-raising event both through their attendance and with their concrete support for the promotion of prevention, for women’s health, and for physical exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.

This moment of unity and solidarity is testament to the value of joint participation for an important cause.

Pedala per un Sorriso (Cycle for a Smile) is the name of an amateur sporting association operating as a charity for social benefit, which organises this entirely non-profit event consisting of a 5 km, 10 km or 40 km charity bike ride through the centre of Rome.

By participating in the event, Terna promotes sustainable mobility and environment protection by encouraging its workforce to try using alternative methods of transport while also taking part in open-air exercise. At the same time, it supports such charitable associations as La Locanda dei Girasoli, the Marina Romoli charity, L’arcobaleno della speranza and RMET.

The SAFE Cup is a sporting event set up by an organisation which provides training and consultancy in the energy sector and which created the SAFE Master’s programme in Energy Resources Management, with Terna as one of its main sponsors.

The tournament is held annually in Rome, between teams representing the main institutions, associations and companies in the energy and environment sector (e.g. Enel, A2A, Eni, Italgas, IP, Acea, etc.). Friendly competitions are held in three different sports: 5-a-side football, beach volleyball and padel.
